This two hour workshop is for folks interested in working as a Cincinnati Documenter.
In the first hour, we’ll introduce you to the Cincinnati Documenters community, including a walk-through of Documenters.org, assignment compensation, and our assignment workflow. You’ll also learn core skills relevant to a range of paid assignments.
In the second hour, we’ll introduce you to local government meetings and how to document them, for the public good. You’ll learn the basics of notetaking and open meeting law—and how they can be used to document local public government agencies and hold elected officials accountable.
After this session, you will be able to take our Public Meetings Quiz and apply for Cincinnati Documenters assignments. You will also receive a “public meetings” badge on your Documenters.org profile page.
It’s all happening Saturday, August 9th from 11am-1pm via Zoom.
